Living in New York City means that I have a smaller than normal apartment then most women in other parts of the country (well not really, my apartment is pretty large, but my closet space is limited), so that means I have to store my out -of-season clothes and when the seasons change, I have to change my closet, and inevitably my look for the season. I use this as a time to donate clothes to the Vietname Veterans, or any other charitable organization with my gently worn clothes I no longer wear.
This is a great opportunity to revamp pieces that I also love, but maybe don’t wear so much. This trick also saves me tons! Those boots I haven’t worn in a while, well there’s nothing wrong with them, I just need to change my perspective on them. So I’ll style them in a way I haven’t in the past, maybe with an oversized sweater and leggings. That white button up? Perhaps it goes really well with a jumper or just jeans and ankle boots.
There’s no need to re-invent the wheel, if it still goes round.
From the look below, I get so much bang for my buck. I can pair this dress with tights, layered with a turtleneck for a great fall look, without spending a dime!
Dress (1 yea old) : Club Monaco
Shoes (4 yeas old) : Gucci
Clutch: Vintage (Brooklyn Flea Market
Watch: Vintage Men’s (Brooklyn Flea)
I Can Pair this Little Number with a Black Blazer or Turtleneck, Black Tights and Black Ankle Boots.
