I had the pleasure to go to an amazing fashion show by designer Tia Cibani. The way that I met and was invited to Tia’s show is the stuff that dreams are made of. It’s in those types of NY fashion moments that I love what I do and I am so thankful for the opportunity to do them.
Tia is an amazing designer with an aesthetic that is dedicated to wearable, beautiful, well made and thoughtful design for women. The quality of her work is evident in the design details she utilizes and in the way that her garments are draped and tailored.
Her show was categorized by color that told a story and evolved throughout the presentation. For her Spring 2015 collection, Tia says that she was influenced by 1970’s exoticism and North African Tuareg craft and for me the show was extra special because I got to see her breathe life into some of these works of art. As a designer, it never ceases to marvel my mind to see creativity be born from an idea and given birth to in the form of a beautiful garment. Tia Cibani is definitely one to watch.
