I want to learn how to surf. Seriously. There are 2 key factors I have to get over first in order to do that. 1). My fear of the ocean. Now, while I love the beach just like the next bella, I can’t swim in the ocean, only in pools- I fear I’ll be carried out very far by an unnatural wave. I usually keep it close to the shore and don’t go past knee level. 2) I don’t like dark water. What’s down there anyway? So needless to say, unless I can lean to surf in a wave pool, It may not happen for me if I don’t address points 1 & 2 🙁
I do realize that water activities happen though. I for one wouldn’t wear my cute swimsuit to learn how to surf. I wouldn’t wear my lay out swimsuit either. A girl needs support when being active in her swim suit, AND wants the suit to be cute at the same time, right? So guess what I found today? You guessed it, cute suits that will support and can be worn for water/beach activities. Let me show you:
Vanish Point Halter Boy by Becca:
I love this one because of the shorts, you can run and play and not worry about getting too cheeky. Also, the top is a cross back, so it supports much better than a traditional triangle that ties behind the neck only. Get it at Shop SWIMWEAR at Swimsuits Direct. Wide selection, all sizes.

The Color Splash Bandeau Hipster by Lucky Brand
This bikini top is going to hold you in! In lingerie terms, this would be called a demi corset, demi refers to the shape at the bust line, the corset part refers to the length of the top. Modern demi bras are derived from this general shape at the bust line. Long story short, the fact that it extends well past the underwire, is your friend for doing water activities. It ties behind the neck, but because of how much coverage it provides, I think you’ll be ok. This would be a good volley ball suit. The bottoms are also fuller in the back, so they should help with the cheeky issues. This suit is also available at Shop SWIMWEAR at Swimsuits Direct. Wide selection, all sizes.

Swimsuits Direct also has a wide variety of other types of suits. Definitely worth a look if you need plus size, juniors, women’s or kids swimsuits. So while I’m building sand castles at the shore with the little ones, let me know how the waves are. Surf’s up!
