Sunscreen Oil

Sunscreen Oil. Yup, I said it. An oil, that is also a sunscreen! Talk about developments in sun care products. These sunscreen oils have been around for a while, but they have higher SPF’s than they did years ago, that’s what makes them so innovative and fresh now! So what’s Changed? Well to start, the benefit of using these sunscreen oils gives a much much more gentle feel than their more traditional counterparts. With Earth Day tomorrow, they are also much more friendly on the environment b/c many of the natural oils used to create them, come from the earth. You don’t have to worry about white streaks, your skin will be soft, they smell great, and they are very easy to apply.  Also, you can make them at home for a quick DIY project, if you’re into that . I won’t get into the making of the sunscreen oil, (there are many websites that cater to making essential oil concoctions if you’d like to know more). Instead, I’ll talk about some of the brands that are out there and where to find them. Spray on friend. Spray on.

TIP: Carrot seed oil has an SPF of 38-40, and Raspberry seed oil has an SPF of 28-50, by far the highest of all of the types of oils to choose from. Look for sunscreen oils that contain these oils, or combinations of them.
