Style Icons: Vol. 2

Fashion is something that is universal. It doesn’t matter how greatly you’ve succumbed to the movement, or how resistant you’ve tried to be towards it, fashion will always be of importance. It’s always been a great love of mine, whether it’s looking at an array of collections online or admiring looks I spot on my way to class. Over the years, I’ve grown to love people’s own personal styles, I use it as inspiration to build my own. I’ve also grown to realize that my own personal style has become overwhelmed with the number of influences I look to for inspiration. With great loves comes influences and icons, and here is just a little taste of what inspires me; Part Deux.

Bella Hadid (@bellahadid)

Bella Hadid has been making great waves in the industry recently and her style is no opposition to that. No offense, but I’ve always preferred her to Gigi, because of how hard she works and her sense of style. She’s edgy, elegant, unbothered, and definitely one of my favorite new wave models.

Kali Uchis (@kaliuchis)

Kali Uchis your Retro Latina Dreamgirl and I won’t listen to any oppositions against that or her. She’s pretty new to the mainstream music scene but if you’re in the same boat as me, she’s been a true love for the past few years. She mixes in modern trends with vintage ones to create an immaculate style that I can only hope to achieve one day.

Kourtney Kardashian (@kourtneykardashian)

Controversial opinion, but I actually love the Kardashian’s style, especially Kourtney’s. We’ve seen her style go from Calabasas Mom to MILF over the last year and it’s magnificent. She’s a great example of dumping the negativity and growing into a stunning carefree woman. She’s wearing less and going out more, and I love it.

Bianca Jagger (@biancajagger)

The queen of all groupies, Miss Bianca Jagger. I’ve got an infatuation for vintage things and women are definitely apart of that. I love the glamour and opulence of the 70s as well as the grit and provocativeness. Bianca’s style showcases all of these things so it’s no wonder why she would be a style inspiration to me.

Zendaya (@zendaya)

I grew up watching Zendaya on Disney and I’m extremely proud of the woman she is today. Her style is cool, modern, showstopping, and classy as hell. She works anything she wears and exudes confidence 24/7. A sweetheart with a killer dress code is lethal, and I’m so here for it.

I hope y’all enjoyed today’s post and the continuation of the ‘Style Icons’.
