So my Oversized Sarong is the most essential piece I have in my collection of swimwear and cover ups. My collection will be available in stores later this year, but the sarong is available now on my website, www.nagerbynichyl.com. I love how many ways that it can be worn. But how do you tie it? Most sarongs aren’t big enough to manipulate the way that this can be, and that is what makes it unique.
Fold it in half width wise, once folded wrap it around your body and tie it behind your neck. I usually tuck the ties behind the fabric so they’re not flopping around. The result will look like this:

Tie it the same exact way, except don’t fold it. So now instead of a top, it’s a dress. It should look like this. Note that without a belt, it will fly away so beautifully from the wind as you walk down the beach. If going to a cafe or restaurant, just put a belt on to keep it closed:

Fold it in half, then twist it in front of your neck, then tie behind the head. The result is more playful. Sort of like this:

Don’t tie at all and wrap around your chest. The effect will be a long, strapless dress. Note that again, when the wind blows, it will flutter open.
Oversized Sarong Tied as a Strapless Dress
One of the most common ways is to wear it as a traditional sarong. If you want a short one, fold it in half again, if you want it long, don’t fold.
