Met Gala 2018: Bad Religion?

It’s that time of the year, fashion quings. The Met Gala of 2018 is approaching in a few days and it’s okay if you’re feeling a little anxious; because we all are after last year’s gala. For the past few years, it’s seemed as though people were too afraid to really stick with the themes, which is trash because that’s literally what the Met Gala is for.

Deets, Deets, Deets …

Hopefully, though, this year things will be different. With Rihanna, Amal Clooney, and Donatella Versace hosting this year’s gala, I have high hopes. The theme, however, has been quite controversial: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”. Fashion and religion? You’d assume that people apart of the religious world wouldn’t approve. That there would be protests and international discussions about how wrong this is, but no. It seems as though the Met has received the official stamp of approval from the Vatican and that they even donated 50 garments and accessories!

Now that the expectations have been set so high with all of the information we’ve received, I will DIE if those who attend the Met Gala this Monday don’t show up and show out. And if they don’t, well we know we can always count on Rihanna to get the job done.
