MBFW-Swim

It’s MBFW-Swim Week in New York! I’m really excited and can’t wait to see all of the new swim-spirations going on out there and how they will transition to actual swimsuits that get worn on the beach. The line up of shows is nothing short of amazing and I’m wondering how I’m going to get myself and my camera into the locations. Swim week is a bit different than regular fashion week. It’s not held at the major venues, they are usually at a gallery or brick and mortar in a really chic place.

Despite how low key the scale of it all may appear, make no mistake that swim week is major-all over the world, with different cities hoisting there own swim week it’s the industries opportunity to learn about new fabrics, trends, brands, and designers. This is where it all begins.

Some shows I’m eager to see:

Mikoh: This laid back, but full of style brand is great for that girl that is a bit grown up surfer and wants a great fitting suit, with wonderful prints and amazing fabric.

Minimal Animale: This will be the debut show for this new brand and I’m excited to see what they pull out of their bag of tricks with all of the buzz I’ve been hearing about them. This sexy, in your face new brand has been featured in Sports Illustrated a couple of times and is catching the attention of so many, very quickly.
