Seven Rings is an anthem for women who break the rules and make their own money.
7 Rings
My wrist, stop watchin’, my neck is flossy Make big deposits, my gloss is poppin’ You like my hair? Gee, thanks, just bought it I see it, I like it, I want it, I got it (Yeah)
One of the best things about the music video is the aesthetic and the fashion. I’d love to dress like 7 Rings Ms. Grande every day of the week. So why shouldn’t I? Here’s a break down of some of her outfits and how you can where this look in your everyday life.
90’s Harajuku
Arianna Grande is wearing what Sailor Moon would have worn if she were making money. Her diamonds drip off her space buns and over her shoulders. She’s wearing a tiny sparkly leotard that’s perfect for fighting crime in. Her makeup accents her natural beauty, contouring her cheekbones and jawline and allowing her highlighter to speak for itself.
If you want this look, definitely think back to your favorite anime character as a kid and just go all out. Sparkles, diamonds, and shiny things are your friends.
Girl Gang
The girl gang aesthetic is not as sleek as the 90s Harajuku look does, but it is just as bold. Ari deliberately lets some skin peek through her outfit and uses it as an accessory. Then she contrasts it nearby with bold pieces. An exposed leg with skin tight socks are accented by chunky platform sneakers and a bralette is complimented with a large faux fur coat. The sexiness of showing some skin can easily be adjusted or modified with the help of the chunkier pieces, keeping her in control of what she wants you to see and when.
If you want this look, don’t be afraid to throw a statement piece on a sexy outfit. It may look extra but you like you’re a savage, you can dress the part.
