What’s one of the easiest ways to add INSTANT style to your beach/pool look? Ok, fine, being on the arm of an incredibly hot guy is definitely one way to add instant style, but it’s not exactly what I had in mind. I was more thinking hats! They are so chic, amazing to wear, protect your face from the sun, hide beach hair- if necessary, and surprisingly look good on most women, you just have to find the right one for you.
I found some really, really amazing hats on bikini.com
*TIP: find a hat that can be packed and folded with out loosing it’s shape. Most will pack well if you stuff it with that tissue paper stuff that usually comes with it. Place the hat in a separate little bag, and put that little bag, on the very top of everything else you pack and it should be fine. Once you get to your destination, take the little bag out of your luggage and reshape your hat. You’re welcome.
Here are 3 of my favs:
1. The White Fedora– Right on trend with a touch of masculinity (we’ll talk more about this on Sunday’s post,’The Weekly Scoop’) Treat this one more casually and don’t be afraid to put your cut-offs on and implement your street style here. This will transition very well with your regular clothes. I can imagine a nice pair of wide leg white linen pants with a white tank and great sandals. Braid your hair in a sloppy braid, braided to the side. Gasp, I’m in love!

2. The Wide Brim– This little gem comes in 2 colors to choose from, navy and tan or brown and tan. Put on your tortoise shell sunglasses and be fabulous in this one! I see a convertible in your future, just put your hand on your head the way they do in the movies to keep it from flying off.

3. The Classic Floppy– The quithessential floppy sun hat you think of. Wear this one with all your super cute wedges, and coverups and don’t forget the drink with the umbrella in your had. Fabulousness at it’s finest. Additional accessories not included, but definitely required.
