Always Look Your Best

If it’s one thing I learned from my mumsy, and trust you me I learned many. But one thing that stays with me in my fashion career is, “…always look your best”. Her reasoning was that you never know who you’ll run into, and you should never regret nor apologize for your appearance. I took that statement and ran with it. No grant it, I don’t alway have on a prom dress of a full face (of makeup), but I also don’t leave my home in rollers and house shoes. Nor do I put on dirty clothes-basicallly I take pride in my appearance at all times.

So what’s a girl like me to wear when invited to a sporting event (or to view one at a local favorite watering hole) like the World Cup, the US Open, the Stanley Cup and all the other major sporting events that just keep popping up all of the place? I say go for sporty, sexy, cute-but not leaning on any one of those adjectives too heavily. TIP: and this may be a bit corny, I google what celebrities wear to these things for inspiration. My fans to take a cue from: Beyonce, Kim K, Giselle, Penolope Cruz, Sofia Vergara. They’ve all mastered this balance very well. Take a look at some great options:

1. This easy and effortless look from www.topshop.com is so simple and looks great! Add a black or white leather jacket if you want to shake things up a bit.

2. Play up your edgy side in this great dress. Simple enough to dress up or down and perfect for a shoe change if you have plans after your sporting event. www.topshop.com

3. Play it cool with a pair of jeans (my personal fav) and a bomber with pumps or strappy sandals. You definitely can’t go wrong! www.topshop.com
